As far as federal law protections are concerned, you likely won’t have the right to switch Medigap policies unless you’re still in your Open Enrollment Period or if you qualify for guaranteed issue rights. That said, your state might have protections in place. If you’re not sure if your state allows you to switch Medigap policies, we can check for you or you can call your state insurance department.

Even if your state doesn’t have regulations protecting your right to switch Medigap policies, some individual insurance companies might.
